Using scripture text
In your Scripture options or in your Scripture theme, do you have Resize text to fit element turned on or Do not auto size text?
It looks like you may have Do not auto size text turned on and you have too much text to fit in the text box at the size font you have selected. You might try lowering the font size or changing back to Reset text to fit element and EW will resize the text to the minimum font size you selected for auto flowing Scripture before it breaks to a new slide.
I don't know why it breaks it in a weird spot on that last one. This is the reason I always use Break on new verse so it displays one verse per slide. Then I can edit it and combine 2 verses if they are short enough.
Hi Dan
Thank you for your reply.
+ Do not auto-size is the setting being used. I have tested the Resize text option previously, and again just now. It shrinks the text to unacceptably small size - see attached Image 10 - Ps 119 - even the youngest of our congregation would struggle with that, hence a fixed size is preferred.
+ "Automatically flow" set to 40. I set it back to 45 and although now the text is an acceptable size, it still page breaks at an odd place, at about 75% of the page.

Absolutely not. Break on new verse is aesthetically unacceptable. I have to use the edit function on a few occasions anyway as the EW bibles are not Anglicised versions (i.e. NIVUK, NRSVA...) and the spelling of some words have to be changed for UK use. If I need to manipulate text to fit, I may as well stick with the labour intensive PowerPoint for scripture readings, which then cancels out the ease of use and flexibility that EasyWorship is meant to deliver. What I do not want is not is have to change the settings for each passage of scripture (or songs), which again would be counter-productive, but I get the feeling that's where this is going.
Kind regards

I have done some more testing with this and when I am not auto sizing the text it fits in the slide correctly and flows to new slides properly. I'm wondering if it's something to do with the graphics card or the font size or the background? What graphics card is in the computer?
It might be best to schedule a callback with a technician and have them remote in with you to see what it's doing and help troubleshoot. You can set up a callback at www.easyworship.com/book
Hi Dan
Thanks for taking the trouble to do the testing.
I know that the grahpics card in the computer (laptop) is underpowered and slightly below the minimum spec required - it's a long story and I'll spare you the details. It is 10 years old, creaks under the strain of EasyWorship and PowerPoint and videos, but has not crashed on us mid-service or let us down. Hopefully in the next 12-18 months the church can buy a shiny new one with a bit more muscle!
I'll take you up on your invitation to contact support.
Thank you again for your input.
Kind regrads

I am using EW for scripture display and have encountered a peculiarity when selecting passages for display.
As you can see from the attached examples, whenever a passage spills over to a second page, the second page isn’t there! With some experimentation, I have found that if I change the “Automatically Flow Scripture” option will at least fill the page (scripture editor couldn’t even do that at first), but where’s the rest of it?
I am sure you will agree that experimenting with the settings is time consuming and impractical - I could do it in PowerPoint with my eyes shut but having invested in some bibles, I am keen to make this work so that other, less computer literate members of our AV team can do this.
I have tested the product by changing the margins and overflow settings, but results are mixed.
Does anyone have any advice on how to correct this?
EW version = 7.4.1.9
OS = Windows 10
