I am trying to show a video with text synced to spoken words... this works fine when run as a standalone video, but when I bring it into EW6 the words lag behind the voice
Any thoughts?

My first thought is that the video card cannot handle rendering the video using DirectX.
This is more work than just playing it in a program like windows media player.
We have to use DirectX to be able to do transitions and display text over video.
