Issue
When using a computer with switchable graphics that includes an NVIDIA graphics card, if you go live to an NDI stream of a PowerPoint presentation, it shows black in your streaming software and does not show the item that you are live to in EasyWorship. If there is audio, you will hear that, but there will no video or picture.
Solution
Follow these steps to resolve this issue:
- Close EasyWorship if you have it open.
- Right-click on your Windows desktop, and in the pop-up menu, select NVIDIA Control Panel.
- At the top-left, click on Manage 3D Settings.
- Click on Preferred graphics processor, and in the drop-down menu, click on Auto-select, and then click Apply at the bottom.
- Click on the blue link that says Windows graphic settings.
- On this page, click on the Browse button where it says Choose an app to set preference.
- In the Browse menu, you will need to navigate to the EasyWorship application, which is located at
C:\Program Files (x86)\Softouch\Easyworship 7, and then click on EasyWorship.exe and click Add. (If you're currently using the Beta, choose the EasyWorship.exe file under C:\Program Files (x86)\Softouch\Easyworship 7.3 BETA) - Click the Browse button again under Choose an app to set preference.
- Now you will need to locate where your version of PowerPoint is installed. For example, my version of PowerPoint is installed here, C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16.
- Then scroll all the way down to the PowerPoint application which should be labeled as POWERPNT.EXE and click Add.
- In the list, click on EasyWorship 7, and then click Options.
- In the Graphics preference window, click on High Performance, and then click Save.
- In the list, click on Microsoft PowerPoint, and then click Options.
- In the Graphics preference window, click on High Performance, and then click Save.
- You can close out of this Settings window and out of the NVIDIA Control Panel.
- Open EasyWorship 7, and now try going live to a PowerPoint through NDI and it should no longer appear black in your streaming software.
