[v7 General Discussion] Questions on upgrading from EW 2009 to EW 6/7

My church is considering upgrading to EasyWorship 6 from 2009. The only problem is that the new beta version of EW 7 has been announced. What could be done to reduce cost and what decision should be made? How long should we wait for ver. 7 to come out and how much will it cost? If we do get EW 6 will it be much to upgrade to EW 7? Thanks

I recommend sending an email to support@easyworship.com with your church info. and ask for a 90 day free license for version 6.
I have already tried the EW 6 Trial and it runs HD video at a choppy FPS on 32 MB of VRAM using a Intel Graphics 4000 chip (DELL computer). I set that as the baseline for a laptop (ASUS X550LA) we use which has 512+ MB VRAM allocated through DVMT to use for EasyWorship 2009 (choppy) which uses an Intel HD Graphics 4400. The tests were done with a full HD video with a high bitrate (uncompressed compared to downloading compressed YouTube videos)

EW 2009 seems so choppy and unstable for HD videos that EW 6 seems like a good upgrade. We will probably upgrade and then go from there. EW 7 seems like it will add a lot of new features that are not present in 6. Hopefully it will become an even better version than EW 6!
Thank you everyone and the community for what you do to make EasyWorship what is it, simple and easy to use for large or small corporations. It is so easy to use and train people to use it.
