Transfer My Songs/Resources From EW6 to EW6

We now have a new database transfer tool that will help you to transfer your EasyWorship database from one computer to another.

If you want to manually transfer the database, here are the following instructions that will help you transfer the EasyWorship 6 database from one computer to another.


***Before starting this process , you will need a USB flash drive or external hard drive. (in the steps below, we will call this your backup drive.)


Transfer EasyWorship 6 database to another computer running EasyWorship 6

Backup Your Database (old computer)


  1. Connect your backup drive*** to the computer.
  2. Close all other programs and windows before starting.
  3. Open EasyWorship 6
  4. Click the Profiles menu.
  5. Click Profiles Manager.
  6. In the middle of that window, click on the blue link next to the words 'Instance Location'.
  7. A new Windows File Explorer window will open.  Do not close this window.
  8. Click on the EW6 program behind the File Explorer window and close the Profile Editor window.
  9. Close EasyWorship 6.
  10. You should now see the File Explorer window that appeared on step #7 (when you clicked the link next to Instance Location).
  11. Hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard and click on the Resources and v6.1 folders, then release the Ctrl key. (Both of those folders should now be highlighted blue)
  12. Right click on either one of those selected folders and click 'Send to' from the pop-out menu.
  13. Click on the backup drive you connected in step 1. (you should see files copying)
  14. When the folders have finished copying, disconnect the drive from the computer.


Restore Your Database (new computer)


If you don't have EasyWorship 6 installed yet on the new computer, you will need to install it first before restoring your database.

You can download the current version of EasyWorship 6 HERE.


  1. Connect your backup drive*** to the computer. (This will be the same backup drive you used on the 'old computer' from the Backup steps above.)
  2. Close all other programs and windows before starting.
  3. Open the Windows File Explorer on the computer by holding down the windows logo key on the keyboard and pressing the E key (+E)
  4. Click on your backup drive from the menu on the left side of the window.
  5. Highlight both folders (Resources and v6.1) that you backed up from the 'old computer'. (You can hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard and click each folder to highlight them)
  6. Right click on either one of the selected folders and click Copy. (you won't see anything happen)
  7. You are done with this window, Close it.
  8. Open EasyWorship 6.
  9. Click on the Profiles menu.
  10. Click Profile Manager.
  11. In the middle of that window, click on the blue link next to the words 'Instance Location'.
  12. A new Windows File Explorer window will open.  Do not close this window.
  13. Click on the EW6 program behind the File Explorer window and close the Profile Editor window.
  14. Close EasyWorship 6.
  15. You should now see the File Explorer window that appeared on step #12. (when you clicked the link next to Instance Location).
  16. Right click on each folder (Resources and v6.1) in this window and Rename them by adding the number 2 after the folder name. (Resources2, v6.12)
  17. Right click in a blank area in that same window and click Paste.
  18. Once the files have completed pasting, open EasyWorship 6 to verify your database has transferred.
