[v6 General Discussion] Reinstall EW6, get access violation error

Hi, due to some issues, I have uninstall all versions of EW (removed all traces of EW in the C drive), then install EW6.1.8 again. The steps I did are as follows :-
1) Start the application.
2) register the application.
3) complete the registration.
4) Profile Manager came up, with no profile.
5) click New
6) General tab, highlight "new profile" and type

i get an access violate error - access violation at address 004A5DA7 in module "Easyworship.exe". Read of address 00000258.

I reboot the PC and try again with the same steps and same error.

What happened?!?!

Oh wait, if this is an upgrade license, is it expecting EW2009 to be there?

There is no special upgrade version of EW6; it does know if there was an existing EW2009 to prompt for conversion of databases. I would expect it to create a new default profile on first execution. Maybe installing demo songs will create a profile.

[list:3rfj6vc0]7. If you need to install demo songs, close EasyWorship 6, then download and run the demo song installer from the following link. [url:3rfj6vc0]http://tinyurl.com/lmyhybt[/list:u:3rfj6vc0]

This issue can be caused either by a corrupted install of Quicktime Player or a corrupted options file.

Uninstall and reinstall Quicktime Player from http://www.quicktime.com.[/list:u:3rfj6vc0]
None of that. I just click ok without doing anything will create a new profile. I can then modify it to what I wanted, even change name, folder, etc. Weird error.
This is a bug.
To work around this, don't try to change the profile name and click OK.
After EasyWorship opens, click on profiles, profile manager and create a new profile with the name you want to use.
